FAQ

Q-1) What headstone size should I order?

Although we can provide you with the most common headstones sizes and styles used nationally, this question is best answered by your respective cemetery, because installation fees may vary within a given cemetery and be dependent upon plot location. In addition to what headstone size to use, you should ask your hosting cemetery:

A) What fees must be paid prior to delivering your headstone?

B) Who is responsible for installing the headstone, the customer, monument company or cemetery?

C) Is there any special paperwork required, and if so what paperwork?

D) Does the Cemetery have to pre-approve the headstone design?

Q-2) How long does it take to receive my marker?

Most orders designed on black granite take approximately one week, but dependent on design and materials, some orders can take between 3-4 weeks to fulfill.

Q-3) Can pictures be added to the headstone designs?

Yes, two image styles are available:

A) Laser engraved (images are etched into the stone using a very powerful laser engraver.)

B) Ceramic design (typically on 3"- 5" oval, square and rectangle shaped plates) that will be embended into the stone (*)

B) In addition to Laser and Ceramic designs we offer traditional sandblasted engraving

C) Combination Engraving: Laser/Ceramic Photo Tiles/Sandbast (*)

(*) Combination Engraving will incur additional time and cost.

Q-4) Why are our prices so competive?

Every company's operating structure affects the cost to their bottom line, which is this then passed onto the consumer. At Rico's Memorial Stones our cost are kept low due to an extremely low overhead, an in-house memorial design team, we have our own sandblaster and one of the industries newest and most precise laser machines.
